Happy Mother's Day

I had a really wonderful Mother's Day this year. I think it must be because of the pregnancy, but I have been so emotional and reflective lately. I just keep thinking about all the blessings that I have. My life is definitely not perfect, but I have so many things to be thankful for. All day on Mother's day I kept thinking about how blessed I am to be a mother. Yes, I started crying when Lauryn and the other kids were singing a Mother's Day song in church. This doesn't ever usually happen, but the girls were pretty well behaved all day as well. When Paul brought in Annie in the morning she said, "Happy Birthday..um, Mother's Day Mommy!", it was very cute. Paul knows the way to my heart and spoiled me with food all day. Einstein bagels and cream cheese for breakfast, turkey, bacon, and avocado croissant sandwiches for lunch, and swiss cheese fondue for dinner with chocolate caramel fondue for dessert. And he got me wood to make garden boxes for me and a compost tumbler. Now if I just knew anything about gardening!!

A Little Easter

We had a great Easter with all the traditional activities: dyeing eggs, neighborhood Easter egg hunt, Easter baskets, church, and then dinner at my brother's house. I only got pictures of the girls with their baskets and then snapped a couple before we headed off to church. Another cute thing that Lauryn did that I can claim no credit for (she did it at her friends house) is that she made a giant sugar cookie and decorated it with jelly beans and sprinkles to leave out for the Easter bunny.

Jumping and 19 weeks

Here are some pics and a video of the girls jumping. I seriously think it has gotten us through the winter. When they just need to release some energy but it is way too cold outside they jump and jump and jump. When they jump on the couch Lauryn likes to call it "Splash Mountain" and pretend they are at a water park. Can you tell we get a little stir crazy during the winter?? Also, at the end is a picture of me at (almost) 19 weeks. We find out on Monday what we're having!!!

#3

What could that #3 refer too? The third blog post I've done in March? The third Cadbury mini egg I've eaten today today? (Yeah right, try 20th- and they aren't even that good, we got a defective bag or something, and yes, I will be calling the company to get a refund. Mini eggs are something I take very seriously). Or could it be baby #3 coming to our house sometime early September?!?! That's right, we are expecting again. Thankfully I'm past most of the morning sickness. And I'm far enough along to tell people which is good since I started showing very soon (way sooner than with the others). In fact, I'm big enough that people are brave enough to ask me, which you know they would only do if they were pretty sure that I was. No one wants to get a "no" back on that question :). We find out what we're having in 3 more weeks, so I'll be sure to post when we know!!
