Crawling

So, I know that no one, other than Paul and I, is really that interested in all the little skills that Lauryn is developing, but I decided to post them on here anyways, because I can't help being a proud parent. But you are free to roll your eyes at me and not read it if you want, even though if you don't you'll really miss out because my daughter is an amazing, beautiful child with incredible talents! Her latest new talent is crawling, and she's gotten good at it a little too fast. She's becoming a lot more independent about it and exploring all over our house.

Bed head

When I went in to check on Lauryn during her nap the other day she was sleeping in this position,

with her legs spread eagle and one propped up on the side of her crib. When I was taking a picture of it, the click of the camera and the flash woke her up, but it was okay, because she'd already been sleeping for a long time and I had the camera right there to capture her awesome post-nap hair-do. As you can see, she was pretty out of it, I think she has her dad's sleeping habits.

Cousins

Lauryn has four cousins born within six months of when she was. Over Memorial weekend we went up to Idaho to her cousin Logan's blessing. It was fun to have all the babies on the Farnsworth side together. We tried to get a picture of them, but of course it was impossible to get them all looking at the camera, much less all smiling.

I thought this picture was cute, since they have matching pacifiers. These are the only kind Lauryn will take.

There was a soccer game going on to the left of the picture, which is why all the babies are looking over that way. And the brown shirt thing wasn't planned, it was just a coincidence!

So, it looks like Lauryn is maybe trying to help Brynlee get back up, but what it doesn't show is that two seconds earlier she was the one that knocked her down.

Growing Up

Over the past month, Lauryn has added sitting up and rolling over as some of her favorite things to do. As you can see in these pictures, she also always keeps her mouth wide open, just in case there's something close by she can put in it!
